Year 3

Welcome to Year 3!

Our teachers are Mrs Daniels and Mrs Woodward.

In this class, we pride ourselves on being friendly, caring and enthusiastic learners who work as a team.

Homework

Each week the children should complete the tasks below.

Spelling

Children should learn these spellings each week.  There are activities on Spelling Shed if this is a way your child learns.

Times Tables

Children should practise their times tables every week.  There are tasks set on Times Table Rock Stars.  By the end of the year, children should be able to confidently recall their x2, x5, x10, x3, x4, x6 and x8.

Reading

Children should be reading as often as possible – ideally every day.  I have set a challenge for the children to complete.  Their bingo cards are in the classroom and will be signed off by myself or Mrs Woodward.  Please record any reading in their reading records which might contribute to their reading bingo card.

PE

We have PE on a Tuesday and Wednesday - children will need their full PE kit in school on this day.

Classroom Bits and Bobs

Children should have a named water bottle with them in the classroom which they can drink during the day and refill when required.

Children can have their own pencil case if they wish, but it is their responsibility; an HB pencil, rubber, sharper, green pen for editing, colouring pencil/pens and a ruler are all useful resources to have in the classroom.
